MPLAYER GUI Portable APP!

How about an mplayer gui portable app, preferably one where you can play dvds with menus and chapter support, play .nsv files with seeking support, play audio cds, and have choice of gui skins. I could help design an initial gui interface, drawing only, not programming sorry.

I use this one

MPUI
and its fully portable (leaves no registry entries).
Or VLC, but Vlc is kinda slow with my DVDs cause I have a slow machine...;-)

none of those work that well and they are not that great looking. Currently the best MPlayer Gui out there in my opinion in terms of functionality is this one.

However it doesn't I want a MPlayer portable with gui that supports dvd menus and chapters, skins, audio cds, and play .nsv files right.

The basic MPlayer w/GUI

The basic MPlayer w/GUI package is portable by itself, and works great. I ran it from my external hard drive on my parent's computer more than once. I've tried using other builds, but they're cumbersome to say the least. Besides, a GUI really isn't necessary if you're only watching one or two movies, and a good config file goes a long way when listening to music. Hell, the only reason for me to touch the keyboard when I'm watching a movie is to either pause it or see how much time is left. And when I'm using MPlayer w/GUI, I don't use the GUI because there's no point. MPlayer is probably one of the few apps that I actually don't prefer a nice GUI.

Haven't been to the site

Haven't been to the site since I just about posted this topic. Seems something created a portable mplayer app for this site cool! Thanks for that! Who created that by the way? Going to try out and give feedback to see if it works the way I asked above.

Take a look. :P

Yea, I'm pretty sure it's the MPUI Frontend, if there's a different GUI you want, and more people wants it, maybe John Haller (the portable creator) will change it.
