Publisher

You'd need to check with the publisher on that. We just make it portable. That's usually a graphics card incompatibility. Be sure you're running the latest drivers from Nvidia. If Foxit includes a method to disable hardware acceleration in it, disabling it would likely help. I could not find such an option in the Options window or a quick search online, though.

solved ?

The default setting in Prefence/history ("Display as before") seems to cause my problem.
From the Foxit-Page I got this:
To set the default viewing layout, complete the following.
Start up Foxit application without opening any file.
Go to File > Preferences or hold down Ctrl + K to open the Preferences window.
Locate History tab, uncheck the option Restore last view settings when reopening.
Locate Page Display tab, set the Default Page Layout, Zoom and other settings you want. (I disabled the automatic-view)
hope that helped

Odd

That's odd but interesting. Thanks for reporting back. If others are having the issue, I'd consider switching from the publisher's default to disable this by default in the portable version. Anyone else?
