Ad Blocking and donating

Hello, and many thanks for a great source of portable software. I don't like to see advertisements, so I use an ad-blocker. I have also been a donor to PortableApps.com for at least the past 5 years. Nevertheless, when I login I see the message "Please consider white-listing us in your ad blocker or making a donation so we can keep bringing you awesome free software."

Since I'm a donor, is there anyway I can avoid seeing the message, or should I just ignore it?

Thanks.

Ignore, Thanks, Subscriptions

You can ignore the message. I added a thank you for recent donors so it doesn't look like it's always asking Smile

We're considering adding a subscription service in the future that would include the ad areas being completely hidden by default so you could disable your adblocker on the site but not see any ads (saves a few ms in page loads for you). We're just figuring out what to bundle into it to make it worthwhile. Handling recurring subscriptions within Drupal costs $100 a month to start on our end.

Ah, Wikipedia does this same

Ah, Wikipedia does this same thing and it's really annoying. If I donated this morning, I don't need a million ads asking me to donate for the rest of the day...

Small Text

That's why our only ask is a small text box using the exact same font color, font size, background, and border as the rest of the page. It's designed to not call attention to itself and not to distract you at all. I even wrote a bit of custom Javascript to ensure that the page layout remains consistent.
