So I downloaded and am playing with the Platform 15 beta. I dig it. So far so good. Thanks a ton. How can I make it so the About Dialog box does not open every time I launch the Platform Menu?

You have to exit the platform properly and allow it to save its settings. If you shutdown Windows or pull your external drive, the platform will crash without saving its settings, so it can't save the fact that it last showed you the Recent Changes list for version 15.0 Beta 1. The settings file will still say that it last showed you Recent Changes for 14.2.2 and it will again show you the changes for 15.0 Beta 1 on next launch because it thinks you haven't seen them yet.

I added a fix for this so that it won't come up again even on an unsafe exit by saving the details to your platform config as soon as you exit the About window. It'll be in Platform 15 Beta 2. You can follow along with upcoming features here: https://portableapps.com/node/28593
