[Fixed] Remove languages in LibreOffice Portable 6.0 installer causes some strings to appear in English

Hi,
i have update from 5.4 to 6.0
my language is French, but some parts of libreoffice are now in english.
the main menu is in french, but all the sub dialogs are in english (format/page, outils/options, etc)
the left main bar is also in english : open file recent files templates, writer document calc spreadsheet, etc

is it a bug , or perhaps a new parameter to set for having all in french ?
Sincerely yours
Themis

Not only in french

Hi,
i have the same problem with german.
I think it's a bug, changing my user profile to an old "german profile" has not fixed the problem.
Maybe portable apps can fix it.

Change Manually

There is no automated language switching within LibreOffice Portable any longer. It was removed last year due to issues with the config files. You can manually set the language within the Options window. Note that there are up to 6 separate settings for language depending on locale. In English, you'd click Tools - Options - and then expand Language Settings in the tree and then click Languages. No changes have been made to your settings from LibreOffice Portable 5.4.4. It may be that 6.0.0 has slightly different settings in the config and doesn't properly read all of the old format. In that case, try setting everything to English and then back to your preferred language.

Note also that if you selected to manually remove unused languages in the installer, this could cause issues. It has not been fully tested with 6.0 yet. If you updated via the PA.c Platform, this won't apply to you.

Switched to Bug

Ah ok. I thought that might be the case. I've labeled it a bug and switched the title to reflect the issue. It'll be fixed in a future release.

to resolve the problem,

to resolve the problem,
i've made an install in an other folder without remove unused languages.
then in my actual installed folder having the problem and where App\libreoffice\program\resource was empty
i've copied the folder App\libreoffice\program\resource\fr from the full install
and then it's good all my libreoffice is in french

This can help other users waiting for the fix
Thanks

Reinstall Over

You don't need to create a new instance, just install right over your existing copy. That's how upgrades and repairs of portable apps in PA.c Format are handled.

Fixed in 6.0.1

This should be fixed in LibreOffice Portable 6.0.1 which has just been posted. It was due to the internal structure of LibreOffice changing in the 6.0 branch so the installer wasn't retaining the correct resource files. It's possible that it may not work for some languages due to inconsistent handling of language strings in LibreOffice's file structure (underscores vs dashes for four character language codes). Please post if you find something not working so I can get it fixed for the next release.
