Portable apps issue...with possibly Stardock fences

Hi everyone

Installing/using Portableapps menu on my pc I have the following issue:

- at some moment, maybe after going to 'options', my desktop icons disappear
- some kind of unwanted (more or less blank) window appear

Could it be an incompatibility with Stardock Fences that I am using ?

Any help welcome

Hide Desktop

There is an option in the advanced tab of the PA.c Platform to hide your desktop. Did you accidentally turn it on?

No Idea

I have no idea offhand what could cause that. The platform doesn't use any hidden windows like that.

When Stardock Fences is

When Stardock Fences is disabled, portableapps menu woks fine and there is no problem

The 'ghost' window seems to be Fences window that behave abnormally because there is some kind of interference between Fences and portableapps menu...both trying to manage desktop icons...

Would it be possible to implement some feature like a command line argument when calling portableapps menu so that is does not interfere with the desktop icons at all...

main purpose of portableapps menu is to present a menu in order to access portable applications, not managing desktop icons...

Doesn't By Default

The PortableApps.com Platform doesn't do anything with icons by default. If you check that option in the Advanced tab, it will hide the window that contains your desktop.
