Tried to update an app today, got the error. Later I wanted to install an app, got the same error. I tried to download the app .exe from the website, and it refreshes between https://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/portableapps/ and
https://downloads.sourceforge.net/#!/project/portableapps/
Is there something I'm doing, or a problem with the website today?
SourceForge, where we host our open source apps, has been having issues all day. It appears to be working now, albeit slowly. Sorry for the issues.

I'm having this exact same issue today. Sourceforge is down again. Is there a plan to migrate to a more reliable platform?
SourceForge is currently down again. It appears for be a DDoS attack as it was just a couple days ago.

I can wait, glad is not on my end.
I had an unsuccessful experiment running P.A. on an SD card, via a card reader, this past weekend the SD crapped out, even though I had monthly backups, still lost e-mails in Thunderbird from Feb.2, was able to update all programmes with versions up to date as of February 24, on the current main USB stick.
Then restored data from the Feb. backup, now switching to weekly but nothing critical in e-mail was lost, just junk.
Might do what that other fella reported a month or so ago, run P.A. on a regular HDD or SSD, then when I do go mobile, just run my copy programme to a stick, then hit the road. The original experiment with the SD card was to see if there was a speed improvement, the results were opposite, it ran slower on the SD than it did on the USB stick.
Still not fixed, I will wait a little longer
After my last post I did a version check and saw that I'm still running 14.4.1. Does it make that big a difference? I did read the 14.4.3 Changelog, doesn't look like much, only the one tweak done.
You won't be able to do app updates until you upgrade. That's the biggest piece.

Will do, 14.4.3 file already on a storage drive.
EDIT: Done but the Sourceforge hiccup/blockage is still occurring.
