PortableApps vs [Illegal site]

Good Morning.

I'm sure you know the [Illegal] Site...
At this link:

[link removed]

They teach how compile a launcher in their format.
They use a different approach then you... Still using NSIS.
What are the differences? What is better? What is simplest?

Does anyone can explain me, please?

Illegal software site

I'll quote a comment made by John previously regarding this and similar sites:

Please refrain from promoting illegal software sites here. We only deal in legitimate software. The site you referenced deals with illegal software, has stolen and modified our software, does not test their releases and often has numerous portability bugs.

Unlike illegal sites, we host the code for all software we distribute and test our releases to ensure they work on multiple versions of Windows as well as on limited and guest accounts. We also add additional portablization and other features to new releases on a regular basis. And we keep both our releases and the underlying source code available for years (6 years and counting now).

"... has stolen and modified

"... has stolen and modified our software..."
So they used the same basis of your portabilizer?

"And we keep both our releases and the underlying source code available for years (6 years and counting now)".
I don't understand. PortableApps source code is open source?
If it is OS, how can they have stolen it?

Thanks.

They

May use the Portable Apps dot com branding, which is trademarked or use closed source software. The software here might be open source, but the branding; example the name or logo are registered trademarks and can’t be used without permission.

Thanks for the answer.

Thanks for the answer.

In this situation I don't understand a thing... (I'm hard to understand).
If the name are SIMILAR, but not same and the logos not eguals, is difficult to demonstarte the steal. (I don't know the US laws).
