A new version of ImgBurn is out. It's now up to v2.5.8.0. Looking at the changelog, it looks like a lot was added, and a few bugs fixed (memory leaks and such). No hurry, I just figured I'd let you know...

Just so you know, using /PORTABLE is supposed to turn off the writing of all file association, autoplay and shell extension changes to the registry.
Following is the help info from ImgBurn's Readme.txt:
/PORTABLE
Used to make the program skip the sections where it would normally write file association / autoplay / shell extension data to the registry.
When used in combination with '/SETTINGS "<File Name>"', you can make it so ImgBurn doesn't make any changes to the PC it's being run on. This is useful if you're running it from a USB pen etc.
Meaning that you don't have to bother with forcing those settings off each and every start.
Also: you can pass the LANGID directly to ImgBurn by using the /LANGID parameter. Following is the help info from Readme.txt:
/LANGID <Language Identifier>
Used to tell the program which language to start up in. Values can be in decimal or hexadecimal formats. The appropriate '*.lng' file must exist in the 'Languages' folder.
Example: /LANGID 0x0809
/LANGID 2057
Both of the above will cause the program to start with the GUI interface in the 'English (United Kingdom)' language.
And you should be able to replace the LANGID numbers in language strings with the corresponding LANG_* without the LANG_
It looks like the MD5 checksum used by the installer, to verify the setup file, is no longer valid.
Downloaded the setup file from ImgBurn and the MD5 = 2046D47E56C5E4EFA444DE857EB6EC5F
If you are comfortable with the PAc format, you could probably use 7Zip to extract both the PAc installer and the ImgBurn setup file and reconstruct the proper folder structure in the PortableApps folder.
When Will ImgBurn Be fully out in Portable? Working as A Standalone . i download the test 1 it don't open fully up. It shows icon then stops.
I looked at the List of Apps and don't see it . i'm assume its still in testing services.
Thanks for coming out With PortableApps.
i will be waiting for the ImgBurn Fully load on the list of others Apps. Thanks Again i will keep downloading.
The MD5 checksum for the installer seems to change once in awhile as pointed out in post #106 above.
Downloading SetupImgBurn_2.5.8.0.exe and putting it in the same folder as the installer didn't seem to work either.
Had to:
1. unzip the installer (use 7-zip)
2. change the MD5 checksum in the installer.ini file to the new one:
0b4c94f8480f8cd13e160bceaaaa8b29
3. rebuild the ImgBurnPortable folder from the unzipped files and folders (not the $PLUGINSDIR folder)
4. use the PA.c Installer(uncheck Interactive) to create a new ImgBurn installer paf
5. run newly created installer for an online install
Even if you haven't' made an installer before it really isn't too hard to modify an existing one. You just have to watch where files and folders go.
Once you get an install, BEFORE running ImgBurn, you could create an off-line installer.
Simplist,in this case, is delete the installer.ini file in the AppInfo folder and delete the Data folder then run the PAc Installer to make a new paf.

Is there any particular reason for not making this official?

PortableApps.com would benefit from a more up-to-date disc burning solution.

Thanks for letting me know. I'll take a look at creating an online installer as soon as I get the chance.

Here's how mine looks:
And here is my default ImgBurn.ini:
And here is a default ImgBurnPortableSettings.ini to go with it (save as App\DefaultData\settings\ImgBurnPortableSettings.ini):
Also, you can remove the following from installer.ini as Uniblue is no longer included (they use OpenCandy for installer ad's now):
Anyone using this? I cannot install anymore on my new computer.
Any suggestion appreciated.

In order to fix the problem with the wrong checksum which makes the installation procedure fail, you can do the following:
DownloadMD5
with the one you find on the official download page from ImgBurnIt may also be possible to update the base app this way by changing the links to the setup files.
Finally official this year?
I've fixed this and made it work. thanks to the original author.
[EDIT] Link removed - mod GC
I've removed your link. Please start a new thread rather than hijacking this one.
I'm unable to install it.
Any new update on this development?
