TunnelierPortable v0.1.4.22 available

Hello everyone,

I'm new here, so please be nice Smile

I've created a PAF launcher for a program called Tunnelier (http://www.bitvise.com/tunnelier). Tunnelier is commercial software, but can be used freely for personal use.

Tunnelier is a great gui-based SSH/SFTP client. I have used PuTTY in the past, but the user-interface, particularly for setting up SSH tunnels, is cumbersome. Also, I would also need a separate SFTP program (Filezilla or lately WinSCP). I had used tunnelier a few years ago, but found it wasn't portable (or so I thought).
In fact, it can be executed with a -NoRegistry switch to prevent writing settings to the registry. But then, a lot of functionality is lost (or needs to be stored in plain-text files).

So, using the PortableApps Template from this site, I created a launcher / reg wrapper for Tunnelier. I have received permission from Bitvise to create the launcher and distribute it with the Tunnelier executables. I have done basic testing, along with Bitvise developers, but my needs & setup are simplistic.

I offer it here for others to use / adapt / suggest, etc. I'm not familiar with the "code" of opensource & GPL, so please point out if I break any rules, etc.

The download is packaged in .paf.exe format, so can be installed from PAM.
More information is available in the readme.txt file.

TunnelierPortable is available here:
http://www.vbap.com.au/pafdev (~2MB download, ~9MB installed)

Thanks (in advance) for any feedback!

You have done it perfectly!

Dunno why, it just irks me Pardon

Thanks for the feedback

Also, I started by using the source for the AbiWord launcher, but kept getting various compile errors.
When using the PAT, compiled and worked first time.
Spent most of my time learning how to build a 7zip SFX that included a popup accepting the Bitvise licensing agreement (at their request).

Were

the errors related with things like FindProcDLL and newAdvSpash?
If so, download my plugins package from http://portable.cubegames.net/plugins

I think it was actually

I think it was actually registry.nsh - I must have used the wrong version (or the one included with AbiWord was wrong).
I have got our plugin pack now Smile
