Hi.. I have been using Thunderbird Portable for a couple of years now and its great, especially as I keep all of my emails .. the folder is 20gb in size ..
I had to go portable because Normal Thunderbird would not function properly with all of that data... anyway , the only thing I am not able to do in Thunderbird Portable is delete or add or edit contacts...
Does anyone have ideas how to approach this problem.. ie right click and delete contact does not work and in fact any alteration I make to the contacts such as editing a contact does not stick.. it allows the delete and edit of contacts but after shutdown and startup, the deleted contacts have returned and the editing has not stuck.. ie it remains as before and unedited..
I did upgrade to Version 60.0 beta with the hope that an upgrade would help but to no avail..
Please help if you can.. Thanks... fosss
I have left the question there incase someone else has the problem.. I just tried a bit harder and have fixed it after 5 minutes after it existing for a year or so...lol
It turns out that instead of deleting and editing the contact in the "Write Message" "Sidebar", I had to go to the "Address Book" section in the "Tools" drop down menu and do the deleting and editing there and doing so in all places where the contacts might exist so that the edits were done in no matter which address Book I am using..
its fixed now
Thanks for the Forum.. it made me think a bit harder..
