What happened to my Firefox Portable?

Hi. I have an old version of Firefox Portable (http://prntscr.com/jonmmt), but I think it recently (in last ~3 weeks) has autoupdated (to Quantum?) or something like this)? I can see now two processes of FF portable in Task Manager (like for Quantum) - http://prntscr.com/jonooy

Also I have the addon "Transliterator" by Alex Benenson (benya) installed, and it recently changed it's working mode - hotkeys Ctrl+Shift+Q doesn't do the transliteration anymore inside the page textareas and the addon's context menus doesn't appear anymore. So, WTH happened to my Firefox Portable?
P.S.: originally I posted this message on reddit, the screens are 10 days old.

Not Quantum

That's not Quantum. Quantum debuted in version 57. The version you're looking at splits rendering threads from GUI threads into two separate processes so that a stuck web page doesn't break the Firefox UI.

What are you trying to accomplish with the specific version of Dev you're looking for? There may be another way to achieve it. Even your current version would allow every website you visit (and their third party ad networks, CDNs, font servers, etc) to run any arbitrary code on your PC they want due to remote code execution vulnerabilities.

Side note: I checked and Mozilla doesn't have Dev versions that old on their servers: http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/devedition/releases/

re

I'm using that version for long time, I've turned off any automatic updates.
Now I don't like Quantum and I need to work on an older FF version (from time to time I need to use various old addons which doesn't support Quantum), so I've installed for now the last good known version before Quantum - 55.0.2 [from here]. Copying the Data folder into the new installation seems enough for me to keep using my previous session.

Also Outdated and Insecure

That version is also outdated and insecure. You could use Firefox Portable ESR 52.x for now. You can get it here: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable-esr

Copy your profile in from your backup, not from your current Firefox Portable 55 as there will be some incompatibilities. It's secure and up to date with patches but is pegged at 52.x for now. Once Firefox stable moves to 61, we'll move it to ESR 60 as per our standard policy: https://portableapps.com/support/firefox_portable#esr

At that point, I'll likely release a legacy 52 channel with the final 52.9.0 release in September. It will then be considered abandoned and of unknown security status.

We may consider adding in an alternative Firefox build that supports legacy extensions in the coming months from a reliable dev team.
