XnView - error after update.

After update this application is not running:
---------------------------
XnView Portable (PortableApps.com Launcher)
---------------------------
XnView Portable cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue. (ERROR: App\XnView\xnview.exe could not be found)
---------------------------
ОК
---------------------------

Dir XnViewPortable:
~PRESERVEDIRECTORY1
App
Data
Other
help.html
XnViewPortable.exe

Directory App\XnView is not readable. The windows 7 system does not allow you to enter this directory. The current owner is not defined, the owner can not be redefined - an error "Access is denied" is displayed.

It is treated only by checking the disk with fixing the errors of the file system.

I see this case not the first time.

Drive Errors

When this occurs, it's an error at either the hardware or file system level. It can also be a permissions issue. If you are getting drive errors frequently which require checking for errors to fix it, it is likely that drive is failing. This isn't something that can be caused or addressed in software.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

The mistake happens to the

The mistake happens to the XnView updating only when updating through the Portable platform. Installation after downloading of a distribution kit goes without mistakes.
No, it is not an error of file system and not an error of the hard drive. It is the repeated result after updating through a cover which happens not for the first time. Other massive updates - Gimp, LibreOffice happen without consequences.

How to repeat:
1. To change appinfo.ini:
PackageVersion=2.43.0.0
PackageVersion=2.43.0.0
2. To start check of updates.
3. To agree to update XnView 2.44
4. Updating will take place successfully, but the App\XnView catalog will become unreadable!

Damnation, I need to reboot again.

Windows 7 Pro 64bit
Portable place:
C:\MyPortable\PortableApps\XnViewPortable
NTFS

Doesn't Work That Way

The installer does nothing with permissions or anything like that. The only way ~PRESERVEDIRECTORY1 would exist is if the installer couldn't write and alter files and got stuck part way through. For all intents and purposes, the installer is just acting as a self extracting ZIP file at that point. And the reason it won't run is due to the fact that the launcher can't find the app.

At this point you should fully delete your entire XnViewPortable folder and then reinstall the app to ensure the permissions issues are fixed.

I just updated XnView Portable 3 times without issue to ensure that there's nothing wrong with the installer itself.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

There was a new updating 2.45

There was a new updating 2.45. All with the same symptoms. However this time I have found out the possible reason -

Avira Antivirus Free.

I think, during removal of the old avira version by the fitter checks files and detains work of the fitter who can't remove the catalog. After reboot the catalog disappears.

I am surprised by behavior of Avira concerning xnView since other applications are updated without problems, including biggest as gimp.
If there is an opportunity - check work of updating with the Avira antivirus.
Perhaps, you will manage to understand a problem better me.
