Very well... I was able to successfully install QtGrace (Have an open issue with this app at Portableapps) and recently MKTeX. Both of them are running fine and I am thrilled to say that it will no longer be necessary to use anything else... Libreoffice suite is fine... I used to love Gnumeric before they decided to drop support for Windows... Is anyone familiar with a nice Markdown editor (other than CuteMarked) that can be installed or run natively? R runs fantastic as well so running statistical analyses is no problem.... I would love to be able to run RStudio but I am OKwith my setup...
Actually mwayne is constantly updating MiKTeX and TeXStudio.
There is also MiKTeX Launcher which together with GhostScript create perfect environment for Scientific Writing.
If someone would bring WinPython as well we'll have complete Scientific Programming set as well.
Thank you. TeXStudio is excellent and I will certainly check it. I installed MiKTeX from their website and it runs OK. Ghostscript was easy to install as it was already part of portableapps. I need to play with jabref to see if I am able to install it and make it functional within portableapps.
If you're looking for JabRef, I have an old development test of it here you can look at.
Thank you very much indeed. I have installed jabref from sourceforge and it is working fine. I think that I have finished my setup
You have MiKTeX and TeXStudio in PortableApps flavor done by mwayne.
Unfortunately, there is no logic(*) in the way applications are chosen to be released here hence they are not official.
You can get them here:

Regarding Markdown Editor with proper MathJaX support.
In my opinion there are 2 best options:
1. Sublime Text + Markdown Preview Extension.
2. Visual Studio Code + Markdown Preview Enhanced Extension.
You can get Visual Studio Code in PortableApps format here:

CuteMarkMD is is a very limited toy.
You better just avoid it.
