Email Address that Forum Notifications are Sent From?

Can someone please tell me the email address that forum notifications are sent from?

Also could you please tell me if such emails have a standard/generic "Subject" line? What is that standard/generic "Subject" line?

Standard

We have a standard address of portableapps and then the @ sign and then portableapps.com that all automated communications from the site come from (signups, password resets, forum post notifications, newsletters, etc).

Note that if you mark even a single one of these as spam, including someone making a spam comment on a post you are subscribed to, your email address is blocked and will be unable to receive additional communications.

Don't Understand the Second Part -- Could You Please Explain

Hi John,

Right John, thanks very much. So all PortableApps communications would come from the domain "portableapps.com".

However, when you say:

Note that if you mark even a single one of these as spam, including someone making a spam comment on a post you are subscribed to, your email address is blocked and will be unable to receive additional communications.

I don't understand. Where would the user mark an email as spam? Do you mean in their email client? Or do you mean at the forum website? (I haven't seen any element of the forum website that allows users to mark anything as "spam". So a bit confused by your response.)

Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.

Email client

Yes, with your email client.

Marking posts in the forum as spam is an administrator-only function.

Gmail

If you have use something like Gmail that allows you to mark incoming messages as spam, if you mark even a single message from the address mentioned above as spam, your email will be blocked for all sending from us by our email handler for everything including password resets. This block is not temporary and does not have an expiration date.

I Understand Now

Thanks very much for the responses. Seems crazy to me that gmail have constructed such a system of 'spam control'. Totally crazy.

In any case, the reason I was asking these questions is that I think I have worked out a way to receive email from portableapps.com in my Hotmail email account. It's working just now, so just leave it for a couple of days and see how it goes.

Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.
