Thunderbird 60.0 crash on start

Thunderbird 60.0 crash on start

When I start my thunderbird 60.0, it drops a few seconds after entering. The same happens in Safe Mode.
Ask to send the crash report and to restart thunderbird.

Windows 10 - 64bit, upgrade earlier version.
All Portuguese Versions

Anyone with the same problem?

I do have the same situation.

I do have the same situation. It crashes after a few seconds.
Very annoying.

As requested in the header when creating a forum topic, please "include system details (OS version, 32 vs 64-bit, install path, new vs upgrade, etc)."

Note that Thunderbird 60 no longer runs on XP or Vista.

Run Local Mode

Could you please try temporarily running it in local (aka non-portable) mode by running thunderbird.exe directly within ThunderbirdPortable\App\thunderbird. This will create a new profile on the local machine in APPDATA and help us determine if it is an issue with your profile or if Thunderbird won't run on your particular machine.

Run Local Mode

This seems to work, so it looks like something is wrong with my profile.
I was able to setup one of my accounts and it was completely syncing.
No crash so far.

What would you now recommend to get it again running in portable mode?

Safe Mode, Disable Extensions

You can start it in safe mode by passing -safe-mode on the command line to ThunderbirdPortable.exe. Then disable all your extensions. Then re-enable them one at a time to figure out which one is causing the issue. Also ensure you're not running any userchrome.css or other manual customizations.
