This new version does not work well on windows 8.1 64 bit
it said it was not responding
and had to close it through task manager
reinstalled it 3 times and in order to do so you had to reboot your computer
the folder would not delete unless you did so
reinstalled the old one and its fine.

That's odd. It works without issue here on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit build 1709. Have you tried a clean install? Was something still running in Task Manager preventing you from closing the folder? Did you turn on Explorer extensions or something?
