[Fixed] The Guide Portable Opening automatically the last used file

I checked the option to open always the last opened file, which works fine if TheGuide uses the registry to save its settings. If TheGuide uses the portable INI file, than opening the last used file fails with an error message, that the file can't be found!

This error exists since a long time, but I "learned" to ignore it.

Moving to a new computer, TheGuide suddenly didn't use the existing INI file, switched back to the registry and the error wasn't raised anymore, but came back after switching back to the INI file.

Taking a look at the INI file I saw in the "Recent File List" section something like:

PortableAppsBaseDir\Documents\…

Since TheGuide isn't able to find the existing file, I fear "PortableAppsBaseDir" isn't resolved in the INI file before TheGuide starts by the platform/installer/what ever.

Any chance for a fix?

Fixed in 2.0 Rev 3

This is fixed in the just-released 2.0 Rev 3 release. An error in the configuration was preventing some paths from updating. I also added in a sample file so the default save location is more appropriate and configured it to open by default with an explanation of the behavior as well as updating it to the latest formats, download hosting, and homepage design.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

Thanks for fixing this issue

Thanks for fixing this issue that quickly!

I updated TheGuide and it starts up smoothly, without interruptions.
I don't know why I didn't report this issue long time ago.
