I have the latest version of FireFox Portable on a flash drive.
I have it because I use public library (Windows) computers and those computers don't always have the latest version of FireFox installed.
When I open FireFox from my flash drive, it brings up the library home page as my Home page.
When I open the Options for the Home page in the browser, that option is grayed out/disabled.
Is there a way that I can set my home page to blank?
How is the installed version overriding the portable version?
The main reason I want to change this is because the library's home page is very slow to load.
Steps:
1. I open my flash drive in Windows Explorer.
2. I double-click on the FireFox Portable Version icon to open it.
3. The library home page opens.
4. I open the FireFox Options and check the Home page options.

Firefox allows organizations to lock certain settings via local registry options. I don't think there is a way to override this offhand. Also keep in mind that if local Firefox is already running, it'll just start a new window of that with the portable one depending on your INI settings.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
The best I can do is to open FireFox Portable, open a new browser tab, close the library website tab that is opening, and go from there.
I understand that the library wants to keep things under their control. Hey! These are their computers. And, it is a good library system. So, this is a minor issue. I will adjust.
I have checked Task Manager. As far as I can see, the installed version is not running when I open FireFox Portable.
