PortableApps Launcher - Taking up to 5 minutes or longer to finish loading - installed on Local Hard Drive

Yes the program in question is the PortableApps Launcher - Taking up to 5 minutes or longer to finish loading - installed on Local Hard Drive

If anyone has an idea on how to speed things up please let me know, it takes up to 5 minutes or longer, I've known this to be similar with some other Open Source Programs.

Thank for ALL YOU DO; THIS IS A VALUABLE RESOURCE AND KEEPS THE INTER NET TO HOW IT WAS ALWAYS MEANT TO BE!

Antivirus?

What antivirus are you using? How many apps do you have installed (see how many directories are inside the PortableApps directory)? Have you tried disabling your antivirus and using Windows Defender temporarily?

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

reply to Mr. Haller - Re: PortableApps - Menu / Application Prob

Yes, Mr. Haller; no antivirus; but I do run Malwarebytes their has never been a incident with it asking any type of question about it finding anything, or anything like that; just to be sure I'll turn or add the directory to the ignore/safe list so it doesn't I don't think it is trying to scan it, I'll here's whats inside, I will try to disable Windows Defender due to #1 I don't trust it; #2 I like and trust Malwarebytes have for the last 10years...
I have about 232 objects in the portableapps directory not all of them are apps; I can get or post a detailed listing; i'm known as McGyver.

I could problem remove the excess; it's been years in the making. I'm guess it should be faster to run the locally based hard disks should be a little faster; but like you mentioned that it could be a malware/defender flaw I sincerely appreciate your idea's Mr. Haller.

Good Day!!!!
