updating to opera portable Version:60.0.3255.55 can potentially result in dataloss

I let opera portable update today. It wiped out my saved session, bookmarks, password, extensions, themes..everything.Set me back to light mode.

So watch out if you aren't using the sync feature. Dummy me, I didn't back up before updating and was not signed in during my last session so I lost a few things.

I've seen this happen with other chromium based browsers updating as well, anyone have any idea why this occasionally happens?

update screwed the pooch

...Since that update anytime I close it it loses everything and can only recover by re-syncing. Re-downloading data every run is not acceptable, this is literally unusable now. And no I am not moving between machines, I understand anything base don chromium is going to do that when you move from one pc to another. I'm talking same machine just close it and reopening a moment later for something I forgot, and find everything is gone and I have to sign in and download from the last sync. Screw this.

Try Current

Please try installing today's release over your current install. Opera's in-place updater has been a bit problematic in the past. I may disable it again.
