I only get the splash screen for few seconds and firefox Portable does not start

Windows 10 Pro 64bit
Desktop pc
Installed in C:PortableApps

I have Firefox std installed and working okay

If I try and start firefox Portable with std firefox running I get the std error that firefox is already running

ChromiumPortable works fine and both these are working on my windows 10 laptop

Suggestions to sort this would be great, thanks

By Design

This is by design, as always. If you want multiple instances, it must be manually enabled using the FirefoxPortable.ini as described in the file linked in help.html.

Firefox Local

That's because Firefox local is running. By default, Firefox only supports a single instance per logged-in Windows user.

Error?

Are you seeing any error message? If not, please run FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox64\firefox.exe directly (or remove the 64 if running 32-bit Windows) as this will allow you to see errors.

The error is as described in

The error is as described in my original request, there is a few seconds delay then portableapps.firefox splash screen box and then nothing.

If I run direct from command line C:\PortableApps\FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox64\firefox.exe
It works okay

When I download and place firefox portable app elsewhere on my c: drive then the error is "Your Firefox profile cannot be loaded. It may be missing or inaccessible.missing profile

Any suggestions would be great thanks

Fresh Install?

What about a fresh install of Firefox Portable to your desktop with no changes to the INI?
