I'd like to install the Platform to make updating easier, but I've already got many portable apps that I installed manually (as standalone apps) without the platform. Is there any way to bring them into the platform without a lot of difficulties?

Install the PortableApps.com Platform in the location you'd like it to be, then just move all the apps to the PortableApps folder it creates. All your apps in PA.c Format will be folders like FirefoxPortable, GoogleChromePortable, etc and the platform will start automatically updating them as it finds them. Your non-PA.c Format apps can be in a folder of your choice as long as it doesn't collide with the AppID of an existing PA.c Format app (so don't install your own copy of IrfanView from a zip into an IrfanViewPortable folder).
