Google Chrome Portable 64-bit Stable?

On package there is statement that says : This is a temporary test as the 64-bit package will soon be combined into the main Google Chrome Portable package as a dual-mode app

It has been Date Added: 2009-05-28, and 10 years later and it still served as split apps

While https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable is by default already 64 bit and there is no dual mode to choose 32 bit instead so i wonder why this is not happening in chrome too ?

I hope Portableapps staff may respond to this questions.

Thank you.

Firefox

32-bit and 64-bit issues and options

Firefox Portable includes both the 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Firefox and will use the appropriate version on each PC. There are some reasons why a user might wish to run a 32-bit version on 64-bit Windows. Reasons include plugin compatibility (older versions of Firefox allow plugins besides Flash), testing extensions, etc. The launcher has a setting called AlwaysUse32Bit which, when set to true, will cause the 32-bit version to be launched regardless of the host OS. It can be activated by copying the FirefoxPortable.ini configuration file from the FirefoxPortable\Other\Source directory to the FirefoxPortable directory and editing it to set AlwaysUse32Bit=true

For the interested, the Firefox64 directory within FirefoxPortable\App can be deleted to save space. The 32-bit version of Firefox in the Firefox directory cannot currently be removed but will in a future release.

i think mr gmbudwrench has

i think mr gmbudwrench has some misunderstanding, i am talking about google chrome portable because its 32-bit and 64-bit versions are available as separate apps instead of use the appropriate version on each PC like firefox does.

it should be only one google chrome portable like firefox does.

Yeah

My bad, sorry about that. My mind went off on a different tangent.
