I don't know how many time Firefox was trying to update even with the option auto update off (It change by itself sometime I don't know) so if it better for an app in PA.c format to not update by itself; then why not renaming App/Firefox/updater.exe by updater.exe-Disabled for being sure that firefox does nothing behind our back? Because it is happenning too many time this kind of case for me.
My second problem is when I change computer (so the letter of the drive change too) for using FirefoxPortable and ThunderbirdPortable I lose my choice of theme (Dark theme or a custom one) and its becoming the default one. At least I have just to put my dark theme and its fine but for thunderbird I need to restart after.
It is not permitted for us to disable the auto-updater. Make sure you have the proper about:config set to disable automatic updates (our default setting prevents them). The old setting to disable and not prompt you is now ignored by both Firefox and Thunderbird.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
I did found a proper way to disabled auto-update (I already have the good settings and the about config never worked for me) it is with the policies and now it is saying that the administrator disabled it for my organization (which is good). I used this file in App/Firefox(and 64)/distribution/policies.json and putting this;
{
"policies": {
"AppUpdateURL": "http://127.0.0.1/",
"DisableAppUpdate": true
}
}
Will block every update for Firefox only.
And for the theme that change to default I don't know what to do.

Are you using a custom theme or just setting the dark theme built in? It stays when you close and open if you restart on the same PC without moving?

On Firefox I am using the dark mode offered by mozilla with shadowfox but only the official dark theme is reverted back to default theme (white) when moving place and for Thunderbird its is the addon TT DeepDark that I use. And only when I go to another pc (so the drice letter change) the theme is not used but in the theme page for thunderbird it is chosen to TT Deepdark. And the theme is staying if I don't move.
