2 questions: upgrading and moving

1. Understandably, there is a delay in the release of new versions of Firefox Portable compared with Firefox regular, so my portable installation nags me to update before the update is available here, and offers to update for me (but, I'm pretty sure, it thinks it's a regular install and wouldn't work). I usually ignore it, but today it occurred to me that maybe upgrading that work might work? Or is it better to continue to wait until the new version (in this case 72.1) is available here?
2. I'm getting a new computer and my experiences with Firefox Portable have been so good that I want to install regular Firefox on the new one instead of continuing to run off an external harddrive. Are there any instructions on possibly moving over all my profile, bookmarks, plug-ins, etc. from Portable to regular install? I know there's instructions on the opposite---moving regularly installed data into a portable install, but I'm not sure if the reverse (portable to regular) would work. My guess is that bookmarks and even preferences might work, and not plug-ins, yes? And where?

Thanks!

FF v 72.0.1 portable

The v72.0.1 is a problem update for portableapps!

This update 'ruin' the portable installation! The PC installation works last days properly ...

I'm not amused!

The addon-problem is not solved! I must double-start as workaround for running proberly ... over one year ...

Now I have trouble with add-ons Addblock plus, NoScript, SingleFile and so on ....

This is not a trustful way to like this web portal ...

Only Update via the Offical PortableApps Release Page

Gracie, with respect to updating Firefox Portable the advice on this forum is only to do so using the official PortableApps release page for Firefox Portable (here): https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable

With respect to moving your profile, or elements of it, you would be best to make a post at mozillaZine Forums. If you do post there then remember to mention that you are using Firefox Portable and fully describe what it is you want to do.

Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.

Thanks, Abraxian. I did wait

Thanks, Abraxian. I did wait and upgraded to the new release when it came out with no problem. Just seemed to be a long lag from when it started nagging me to when the portable release was available.
As for the moving question, in the past I found that I got useful answers here, but at the regular Mozilla forums not so much, especially if I reference the Portable edition, kind of "ask there, that isn't ours." But I'll give it a shot.
