If I downloaded the 64 bit version why is the 32 bit version here? Can I delete it safely? If one uses a 64 bit system why would anyone want a 32 bit program running if there was a 64 bit one available?
I had to go into Control Panel, Default Programs and switch change a lot of the programs that were still using the 32 bit program. Took quite a while.

It contains both versions because not every unit is 64 bit. It allows you to run on every machine you have without having to be concerned if it’s a 32 or 64 bit machine. 64 bit speeds are negligible and there is discussion concerning that in another thread.
I really wish I knew how to make it show me the 64 bit version of portable firefox. I dont even have the option (windows 10 shows firefox, the app store, or other browsers), so all my apps default to the 32 bit (it appears, as even though it says 64 in the about help, it wont let me move those tabs over to my 64 bit instance, and none of my extensions are present).

If I’m not mistaken, you could delete the 32 bit version without issues. But search the forum first as I believe there is another post dealing with a similar question. Internet apps>Firefox
