Firefox Portable does not default to HTTPS and HTTP links

When I click on a link http or https Firefox opens a new instance or I want it to open the link in a new tab

I did check the "open in a new tab rather than a window" box.

Manual

You need to manually register FirefoxPortable.exe as a browser on your system and set that as the default. Setting Firefox itself as the default will cause it to run in local mode.

Third Party

You need to use a third party utility.
