Signal messaging?

Yesterday, Signal announced a stand alone app has been released (https://www.signal.org/blog/standalone-signal-desktop/).

I was just curious if anyone was working, or planning, to package it as a portable app? This would be my final step in my migration away from Chrome.

Basically Chrome

This desktop app is based on Electron. So, it essentially bundles a nearly full copy of Chrome inside it. It's a web browser with a custom titlebar and icon that locks to a single set of local HTML/JS/CSS files and remote website.

Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!

What's the problem in building signal portable app?

I don't know much technically and sorry if I sound stupid. There is chrome portable. Is it difficult to build an app that depends on it?

That's how I'm using it now.

That's how I'm using it now. Portable Chrome with the Signal app added. I was just looking for a way to get rid of Chrome completely.
