I seldom use utorrent, but the last two times I did, it created a registry entry. In addition, on a restart of the machine (Win 7 Pro) I get a dialog box asking if it's ok for utorrent to make changes to my machine. (I say no.)
In msconfig>startup I see and disable the utorrent item. When I did so the second time, it was also showing the previous item (disabled). Prior to posting this, I went back into msconfig and see only the most recent one listed.
The key's command is d:\portableapps\portableapps\utorrentportable\app\utorrent\utorrent.exe and the registry key is HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
D: is a hard drive partition on which I have "installed" portable apps.
This does not strike me as being portable behavior.
Any suggestions?
Do the other torrent apps in portableapps behave better? (qBittorent or Transmission Portable).

Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.
I have noticed this to... it will work for some time then suddenly it will ask for admin privileges then start an install process, trying to install "adware web companion" along with it. It seems the app auto updates in the background without users knowledge.... a little shady!
Neither the current release of uTorrent nor the previous create this key in my testing unless you check "Start with Windows" within Options. This may have been a bug with the version before that.
