New Chrome Portable Version Not Detected

Portable Apps Platform doesn't seem to be detecting that a new version of Chrome is available on portableapps.com. My installed version is 80 but the latest version is 81. I tried running a manual update through Apps > Check for Updates but it doesn't show the new version either.

Platform version is 16.1.1 and Chrome was installed through the platform into the default directory.

Chrome Portable ... latest version is 81.

Not Supported

The Chrome updater is not portable. You can use the PortableApps.com Platform to update automatically

Working Here

I just installed the last 80.x version in a test platform and then checked for updates. 81 showed up as expected. Open up the appinfo.ini and made sure nothing is amiss if you would please. It's in the App\AppInfo directory.

Reinstall

Try reinstalling the version you already have over itself. You can download it here.

You have it in PortableApps\GoogleChromePortable correct?

My Bad

Apologies John, my original post said I had it in the default dir but it turns out I don't - it's in PortableApps\ChromePortable.

Can I simply rename the directory to the default or do I have to reinstall at this point?

Make a copy and rename it

Make a copy and rename it. Test that it works as expected, upgrade, test again. It should be good.
