Does Office 2007 require validation?

Does Microsoft Office 2007 require validation (you know with the Windows Genuine Advantage Crap?) like Windows Defender WMP11, etc. because I wanted it to run on my Linux computer via CrossOver Linux (commercial version of Wine, which integrates with the KDE/GNOME menu).

I would say so

Almost all Microsoft products are being fitted with WGA a verification system, based on WGA.

WGA

I just validated my Office products about an hour ago and FrontPage has failed. Office 2007 Enterprise didn't.

Not WGA, but you do have to

Sorry WGA was not the right

Sorry WGA was not the right word. I dont think there is a limitation. I had an illegal copy running on my old computer- (has no internet)as part of a study on Microsoft's Piracy Programme. The copy did not stop working.
