Jaws Mailclient - Because Thunderbird 78 will loose GnuPG-support

Hello!
May I strongly support the addition of Claws Mailclient to the official PortableApps repositories?!

Reason:
Claws will be the only open source mailclient with GnuPG-support after the imminent release of Thunderbird 78:

Thunderbird 78 will loose the ability to run the Enigmail plugin and thus won't be able to interact with GnuPG.
For all I know TB will get its own OpenPGP-integration, but it will lack many of GnuPGs features, won't be certified and might even be postponed to a later Point-release.

Thanks for considering!

You are right, GnuPG is just

You are right, GnuPG is just one application that let's say uses the OpenPGP standard or protocol. (Please note: I am not talking of the software PGP here!)
But in some way it is THE application and it is recommended e.g. by German Bundesamt fuer Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik.
Whereas GnuPGs code has a long history, Thunderbirds OpenPGP-stack is newly introduced. Furthermore for all I know it will use its own keystore, will not allow the use of smartcards, does not support exporting keys and might be postponed to a later release.
If all this is true, it might be easier to find a new mailclient working with GnuPG if you have a working combination of Thunderbird-Enigmail-GnuPG right now than migrating to Thunderbirds new model.
Don't get me wrong: I appreciate the integration of OpenPGP into Thunderbird, especially as it might help propagating OpenPGP to people who otherwise would never get in touch with it. But all those who are already using it might consider sticking with GnuPG and exchange Thunderbird (e.g. with Claws).
For further information there is a long discussion on the GnuPG-users-mailinglist in may and june 2020: lists.gnupg.org .

ok then

ok, so I understand, this will be a new application based on openPGP doing probably all what Mozilla Products today do. You will have to set up an account with mozilla to be able to acces key store....just to 'improve user experience'
