ConvertAll Portable 0.8.0 Broken

The newest version of Convert All does not work (0.8.0), however the next oldest version, 0.7.5 does work when I download it from https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/ConvertAll%20Portable/

Is this a build error? How do I get this resolved? Thank you.

More Details?

What operating system are you on? What's the full install path? Do you get an error? Note that ConvertAll now requires Windows 7 or later.

Problem Details

I'm on Windows 10. The full install path is C:\Portable Apps\PortableApps\ConvertAllPortable. I get an error, "ConvertAll Portable cannot be started. You may wish to re-install to fix this issue. (Error: App\ConvertAll\ConvertAll.exe could not be found)

I noticed that in the file explorer, the file name is specifically, "ConvertAllPortable.exe" When I launch it, it returns the same error.

File Missing

The only time that would happen is if the file C:\Portable Apps\PortableApps\ConvertAllPortable\App\ConvertAll\ConvertAll.exe can't be found. Most likely, your antivirus accidentally deleted it without telling you at some point. Reinstalling should fix the issue.

Something like that seems to be the problem

I can literally watch that file get deleted on my computer when I navigate to it in windows explorer -- every time I reinstall it.

Antivirus

Check your antivirus/antimalware software logs. Currently, only obscure antivirus like Ikarus and Jiangmin have false positives on the installer and SecureAge APEX, BitDefenderTheta, Bkav, CrowdStrike Falcon, eGambit, Ikarus, Rising, SentinelOne (Static ML), Webroot have false positives on the actual ConvertAll.exe. If you're using one of these less popular antivirus products, you'll need to contact them to report the issue so they can hopefully fix it in their next definitions update.

Thank you

Thank you. I'll ask the IT department to submit a ticket.

Which AV?

Which antivirus is causing the issue? I can file a false positive report on my end as well.
