Dear all,
please sorry this is the second time i post this help request just because the previouse one i deleted for my mistake.
I have Thunderbird portable on a USB Key and I used it on my linux computer ( thank to wine software layer ). I had no problem to check mail, to see all my folders on ther left folder pane, etc.
When I came back to use the USB Key on my Windows computer I discovered that all folders was disappeared.
Searching on subdirectories I can see all my folders in D:\PortableApps\Thunderbird Portable\Data\profile\Mail.
Again: When I used USB Key on my Linux computer I had no problem to see all, but now coming back on my Windows computer I cant see anything in the folder pane on the right. Thats all!!
I m disperate
I'm sorry, but I am unable to reproduce this. I did a fresh install of Thunderbird Portable 78.3.0 to my Desktop directory and synced one IMAP account. I created a Testing folder in my Local Folders and copied some messages to it. Closing and moving to another drive on my computer, everything was still there. Closing and moving to a clean Windows 7 virtual machine and everything is still there. What folders are you missing and where were they?
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
Hi John,
first of all let me thank you for your reply.
I try to give you more details:
- I dont use IMAP account but POP account;
- I use Thunderbird on a USB Key and folders where I store my mails are located here D:\PortableApps\Thunderbird Portable\Data\profile\Mail;
- Inside Mail directory I have some other subdirectories which have the same name of my Thunderbird local folders ( I discovered it just today ) ;
- All these directories seem to be intact whit all my mails;
When I used my USB Key on Linux PC I saw everythings without problem. I used it without problem.
When I inserted my USB Key on Windows PC I lost my view of all folders on the left folder pane. Empty !!
How do to restablish the rigt situation?
How do to proceed in order to view al folders again?
I discovered to lost all filters rule too
I hope has been clear.
Thank you
Felice
