Email Program Question

So I have multiple email accounts both free ones like Gmail and Outlook but also ones I use with the domains I own. Currently I use Microsoft Outlook on my PC to manage them all.

My question is ........... Is there a Microsoft Outlook Portable App or is there a similar app that will allow Me to do the same thing via portable? I want to be able to use anyones computer with my USB drive and open this app and sync, send, receive emails from my various accounts using this app like I would be able to do via Outlook but using a portable App.

- Thanks for the suggestions and input!

Thunderbird Portable is your best bet.

The most sophisticated offering is Thunderbird Portable (to download a language version other than English US scroll down the page). I use it myself for Hotmail/Outlook and Yahoo email accounts without issues.

If you are new to portable apps read all of the 'General' Support webpages. Note: you do not have use the PortableApps.com Platform to use Thunderbird Portable (I don't) but it is nonetheless useful to read that information to help you decide it you do want to use the Platform.

Also read the specific Mozilla Thunderbird, Portable Edition Support webpage. Note: that webpage is old and much of the information there is out of date but it is still worth reading; specifically ignore the information on using Thunderbird Portable with the likes of Webmail for Hotmail/Outlook, gmail etc.

If you run into problems setting up accounts or for other help in using Thunderbird Portable that isn't specifically related to its portable nature then I would strongly recommend mozillaZine Forums for getting help - just mention you are using Thunderbird Portable when you post.

Couple of Quick Tips:
(1) Never let Thunderbird Portable automatically update itself from a Mozilla download. Only ever allow the Platform to update it for you, which I believe it can do automatically, or, if you aren't using the Platform, download any update directly from PortableApps and use that to do the update yourself. You should note that when Mozilla release an update for Thunderbird that it can take Portable Apps a few days, sometimes a few weeks, to release the equivalent update as a PortableApps package -- this is good to practice patience.

(2) Thunderbird Portable is the exact same as Mozilla Thunderbird -- it is just packaged by PortableApps as a portable application. This means that you can still use any source of information that you would get for a (standard) Mozilla Thunderbird from other sources e.g. mozillaZine Forums, you just have to keep in the back of your mind that the portable has some differences with respect to its portable nature e.g. where the Thunderbird Portable Profile folder is stored.

Use Portable Apps on both Flash Drive and HDD/SSD.

Thanks,

I use several PortableApps so I understand how that part works. I never manually update them and I simply allow the PortableApps to update them as needed.

So this will work with pop3 and/or imap emails as well (created in my cpanel of my hosting) or is it only for free mail services like google and outlook etc.

Thanks Again for the reply!

Works fine for IMAP and POP3

It's not an area of expertise for me, I would guess you know more about email than I do. However, I do know that people manage IMAP and POP3 accounts without difficulty using Thunderbird. On the issue of your 'domains' question I am ignorant however mozillaZine Forums will be able to advise on that.
