I've always been able to check for updates manually in Firefox Portable. However, now when I go to Help and About Firefox, the program no longer checks for updates. It says Updates disabled by your system administrator.
Is there a way to fix this so I can check for updates again and continually updating the program?

Updating from within Firefox itself might work for a while but you miss updates of the Firefox Portable Launcher that way. Its better to update with the "Installer"-package from the apps section of this website.

Or you might consider using the PortableApps.com Menu. You get an automatic updater for officially released appd from PortableApps.com.
