I plugged the u disk into another computer and ran portable chrome in portableapps, but I found that the user settings and extensions of chrome disappeared, how can I keep my chrome extensions from disappearing because of changing computers, I am new to this, please forgive my ignorance. This is a limitation in Google Chrome by design of the publisher as outlines on the app homepage and the license that comes up on install: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable#app-notes
You need to login to Google in Chrome to use it. You should do the same on a local version otherwise you risk losing everything there, too.
If you'd like to avoid this limitation, Firefox will work truly portably without a login requirement.
