Might i recommend or ask for a Portable IRC client? i've always loved sitting in Freenodes and chatting, but hated that you had to install it.... just a simple request...

Miranda

Miranda (which is portable out-of-the-box) has an IRC Plugin. It's great for IRC channels you visit all the time.

Portable Firefox ChatZilla

Unfortunately, ChatZilla runs extremely slow when running through Portable Firefox on a USB key as it reads everything (GUI, functionality, etc) via JavaScript straight from the drive.

I use Dana IRC. It is a small around 150K IRC client that has all the features needed. The website is in German, bu the program is in english.

I would recommend MegaIRC as well. You just download a ZIP on the Website link and go.
