Duplicate of Bug 63172
Hello,
Lately I am seeing the Access Violation error with the latest updated platform -
Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/dwoaHxx
Access violation at address 005994E0 in module 'PortableAppsPlatform.exe. Read of address 000001D8.
My Windows is 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor:
Edition Windows 10 Pro
Version 21H1
Installed on 4/13/2021
OS build 19043.1023
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.2020.0
I could probably run a debugger if provided with instructions to do so if it helps solve this issue.
If you need anything else, other information about PC, then I'll post it as well.
Thanks and regards
Tony
Edit: I forgot to mention this nag appears only once at the very first launch of the PortableAppsPlatform. I click OK, then can use platform without issues till I reboot PC.
Would you please try the current beta version? You don't need to switch your main install, just install the beta temporarily to your Desktop directory to test it. It fixes an error that can cause this.

John, appreciate your promt reply. Indeed, the issue is fixed. Everything works fine - I dared to replace all files in my regular install and quickly returned settings to what I had. No issues)
Thank you very much.
Glad to hear. I'll close this as a duplicate of the main bug tracking the issue. 18 Stable should be released within the next week.

Let me hijack my own thread to squeeze in a small suggestion)
When the Updater quits and notifies User there are no new updates to Apps, the window is modal with "OK" button. Would be awesome to have OK autoclickable in, say, 5 seconds with countdown. Not sure it is possible to do quickly, but it adds to the overall awesomeness)
