Hi,
Does anyone know what program Microsoft uses to install Internet Explorer 7, I don't think it is Installshield but the background and installer look nice though.

It does look nice indeed. But I'm not quite sure which installer they use either.
My guess is that they use their own software to create all their msi installer packages. The software they make available for doing this are Discover (used for taking "before" and "after" snapshots of a PC's configuration. This enables a developer to create any keys, files etc that are necessary to the program by hand, effectively recording the exact changes needed to add the program to a computer. The job of Discover is to compare the before and after shots of a computer and put together an msi file that will make those exact changes. Microsoft also make a program called Veritas available for customisation of the installer package, further information can be found here.
