FreeCAD 0.19.2 api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing

Doesn't work. I have Win 7 service pack 1. It wont open the app up at all. Before this, I had tried their regular install a couple of weeks ago and when I tried to open it up it threw the message "This program cant start because, api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem".

I tried reinstall and got the same thing. There is no contact information or problem reporting from the folks at Freecad. The portable app just released doesn't open up but does not throw the same error message as the system install does, it just does nothing.

Windows Version?

Are you using Windows 32-bit or 64-bit? This affects which FreeCAD is run. Have you applied all Windows updates to this machine?

64 bit Win 7 system. I have

64 bit Win 7 system. I have tried the full install (not portable) on other Win 7 systems, and I got the same error message. I hate it because I need it. I cant stand Librecad, it's useless. and Autocad cost too much. This App says clearly that it is Win 7 compatible. And there is no contact capability for Freecad.

Windows Update

Have you applied all updates that are available in Windows Update? Windows 7 tends to include the VC runtimes that FreeCAD needs by default. If yours doesn't, please try downloading this zip and unzipping it to the FreeCADPortable\App\FreeCAD\bin directory.

Okay, I tried the zip file you gave and didn't work. After searching for "that missing file i posted earlier" i was informed to install VC_redistx64.exe from microsoft. After installed Freecad will open but still not work or do anything else. It threw the following errors at the bottom of the page;

Try installing both?

Have you tried installing both the 32-bit and 64-bit VC runtimes from here? You can ignore the ARM runtime.
