As you know a PortableApp applications consists of an outer, wrapping Portable Component and the inner, core program.
I pinned now some of the outer PortableApps applcations on my hard disk to the Windows TaskBar.
When I click on one of them they are started, they set the environment and finally start the inner actual core application.
It works.
Unfortunately the started inner core application appears as a separate,new thumbnail at the right-most side of the Windows TaskBar.
Actually outer and inner PortableApps program belong together and hence they should be grouped together in one entry on the Windows TaskBar.
How can I achieve this?
This should work somehow. There is an "win7appid" utility with code from Google which assigns a new/another appid to a program:

Since programs with same appid are grouped together on Taskbar this is a prove that it works...somehow.
However i would prefer not have to fiddle around with some internal assignments.
This should work out of the box automatically for all PortableApps programs.
Any suggestion how to get it working?

You can use the platform to pin to taskbar. We already go the work of determining the appid for both the 32 bit and 64bit variants and have it set up for you. Just right click on the app on the platform and select pin to taskbar. It'll even work with the platform closed.

What do you mean with "the platform"?
I already pinned "FirefoxPortable.exe" to Taskbar.
But when I click on it the innder <basedir>\App\firefox64\firefox.exe is started AND appears at the far right of the Win Taskbar.
...and NOT together with the "FirefoxPortable.exe"
So again: How can I tell PortableApps or windows to group them together in TaskBar?
You have to use the PortableApps.com Platform to pin FirefoxPortable.exe. It pins it in a special way. Only launch FirefoxPortable.exe itself (as always), do not launch firefox.exe directly.

So I download and installed this "platform" package.
But after start I did not found existing FirefoxPortable Apps inside the Platform.
How can I later add an existing PortableApps App which is installed BEFORE the PortableApps Platform?
Is it possible at all?
Or am I really forced to re-download, re-install, re-configure all my PortableApps Apps?

Just copy/move the whole app folder (Firefox in your case) into the PortableApps folder, it's just beside the Start.exe. It's where you have installed the platform!
