Comments
When downloading through the platform it retained v95
I tried downloading it via the platform without exiting Firefox.
It just showed "Done" at the end.
But I noticed it's still v95 so I exited Firefox and restarted it. Still 95...
By that point the platform's updater claimed there are no new versions.
Only once I manually downloaded the installation I finally got v96.
Close
If you leave an app running, the update will not work correctly.
Shouldn't it ask me to close the app (in this case Firefox)?
This would have solved it.
This is what happens when installing manually while Firefox is open.
After all, the Platform Features are advertised as including Automatic App Closing.
Ideally
Ideally it should. It doesn't at present.
The platform's automatic app closing is on platform exit. It's not part of the updater or the PA.c Installer.
