I run Firefox Portable on a computer that also has a normal Firefox installation. Earlier today, Firefox Portable started updating itself automatically, but I cancelled the update before it finished. Then, when I went to Settings > Firefox updates > Show update history, it was telling me that there was an update with an "install pending". So I deleted the Firefox Portable folder and installed it again, but the new installation is still telling me that there is a pending update. I can tell it's the same as before from the timestamp.
I'm curious as to where Firefox Portable is getting this from. Since the previous Portable folder was deleted, which file or directory is it reading? The normal Firefox installation says nothing about any pending updates.
Does anyone have an idea? Thank you.

Try installing the previous version and then letting it complete the update: https://sourceforge.net/projects/portableapps/files/Mozilla%20Firefox%2C...
I've never interrupted an update in the portable version before, so I don't know where it keeps stuff temporarily.
Sometimes, the impossible can become possible, if you're awesome!
