I remember asking a similar question before. i set Firefox Portable update settings to manual, but when launch FFP on a different PC, the update settings change to automatic (Even if the path to the profile directory is same).
Are Firefox update settings stored in the FFP directory?

I don't know the answer to your question. However, if your aim to arrange things so that Firefox doesn't update itself via Mozilla updates then try the following:
Look in the folder FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox64 -- there is a file there titled updater.exe Rename that file to something different (e.g. updater.exe.disabled) or just delete it.
Do the same thing in the folder FirefoxPortable\App\Firefox
If that is a suitable workaround for you then be aware that you would need to do the same steps every time you update your Firefox Portable.
Personally after every install I always check that updates is set to "Check for updates but let you choose to install them" Sometimes I find it is changed after a new install.
