LG GRAM model 17Z90P-K.AA78A8 and Supersonic Rage 128 GB USB

When I install the above mentioned USB into a USB port on my above mentioned LG GRAM with Windows 11 and double click the Start.exe in Windows Explorer I get this message; "This app can't run on your PC. To find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher". However, if I double click on PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_22.0.1.paf.exe and reinstall the platform all is well until the next time I install the same USB drive and double click the Start.exe. Is there a platform just for Windows 11 or what is the trouble? Also, is there a way to attach a copy of the message as a file? goofus.

Formatted?

How is the drive formatted? When you plug it in again, does it give any errors? Have you tried reformatting the drive (AFTER backing everything up) as either NTFS or exFAT and then reinstalling?

I do not get any messages when I plug the USB drive in. It is formatted exFAT. I have reformatted it and reinstalled PortableApps a couple of times. Same message when I click on Start.exe

Strange

This is strange. Your PC is a standard Intel processor. Start.exe is made for x86 processors in 32-bit mode and will automatically run on Windows 64-bit without issue. I use it on a Windows 11 64-bit machine all the time without issue.

Please try another drive on this same PC and USB port, try another USB port, and try this drive on another Windows 64-bit machine. This should help us narrow down where the issue is.

LG GRAM model 17Z90P-K.AA78A8 and Supersonic RageLite 128GB USB

I have another USB drive being delivered tomorrow and I will try that on my LG GRAM. I reformatted the Supersonic RAGELite to NFTS on my Windows 10 desktop and installed PortableApps.com_Platform_Setup_25.0.paf.exe onto this USB drive and executed the .exe file and install the portableapps platform onto the drive successfully. Then I only installed Firefox on the platform for test purposes. Then I shut the platform down and ejected the drive and unplugged the drive. After waiting a few minutes, I plugged the drive back into the same port on my desktop and double clicked Start.exe and the platform booted up just fine. So, it looks like Windows 11 may be the problem. What C++ Redistributable is Platform 25.0 made under? It is suggested in searched for help on the internet that Windows 11 may not have the right C++ Redistributable installed.

Fine on Windows 11, Self Contained

The platform works fine on Windows 11 x64 and ARM64. I use it myself regularly. It doesn't require any locally-installed C++ libraries above a standard Windows install.

I bought and installed a

I bought and installed a (rather expensive) PNY PRO Elite V2 256GB flash drive and downloaded the 25.0 platform into it and ran the platform 25.0 exe as administrator. Success! I then installed one program, waited a few minutes, shut down the platform and ejected the drive. After waiting a few minutes, I then reinstalled the drive into the same port and ran the Start file as administrator again and it worked fine. Norton 360 has a inside program that updates the programs installed on my LG GRAM and before I even plugged the flash drive into the GRAM, Norton 360 update a 2015 C++ Redistributable (whatever) which may have something to do with it, I don't know - I am not a programmer. I shall mess around with this more and see how it goes although I think it will be fine now. I will also try the same things with the Patriot Rage. Thanks for your help.

Antivirus software

The fact that such a message appears could also depend on some antivirus software blocking (or attempting to block) the execution of Start.exe

I have Norton 360 (that is

I have Norton 360 (that is what Norton gives us here in Canada) but it doesn't usually affect booting programs.
