Error message
The download of Chrome has been a problem for a long time.
As for the problem with MMEX, it was this update that caused it.
I'm using US's ISP to connect the update server. It was no problem for other Apps but just these two. Maybe you should find out why to cause this.
BTW, I can install Chrome normally using Google's online installer. And Chrome's updater also works fine. So...
It seems to be a problem with the platform for a long time. I think it's time to find out the cause and fix it.

MMEX was a simple hash mismatch issue which has been fixed.
As for Chrome, I just installed all 4 channels of Google Chrome Portable on Windows 7, 8.1, 10, and 11 without issue, so there is no base issue with the online installer. Please include the complete details on your system (OS version, 32-bit vs 64bit, any antivirus or firewall that could interfere, etc).
Also please test downloading this file in Internet Explorer. Note that no other browsers matter at all. ONLY Internet Explorer is relevant as it uses the Windows internet components that the PA.c Installer and platform's app store/updater use. If you can download it in Firefox, Chrome, etc, it is irrelevant.

If you keep trying repeatedly, it will always jump to Edge to open the link and display this page in IE.
And the Edge works fine.
Windows 10 20H2 64bit
All AV and FW are inactive when testing.
MMEX fixed confirmed. THX

A bit strange, but try this. Download this BrowserTest.exe file and run it. You should see Google loaded in the window. Click the Load button. This is just a simple example wrapper around IE.

When doing nothing after running the exe. It shows up
Navigation to web pages has been revoked
After clicking Load. It shows up
Can't display this page
Make sure the web address https://dl.google.com is correct
And now the PrivaZer is also 404 or same as Chrome.
Other apps are still updated normally.

PrivaZer was an unrelated issue that's been fixed.
It appears that your internal Windows components are being blocked from downloading from Google. Not sure if that's system level, organization level, or something else. Are you using an organization managed PC or a personal one?

I can't figure out exactly what went wrong.

Did it used to work at some point and stopped? Was anything changed on your PC or anything within that timeframe (new firewall, antivirus, infection, etc)?

I feel it works randomly. This PC is my workstation; I usually prefer not to change anything except for updating the apps.
