Trying to run Notepad++ Portable, standalone. Installed fine, but getting error message whenever I try to run the app:
\App\AppInfo\Launcher\Notepad++Portable.ini is missing [Launch]:ProgramExececutable - what am I to launch?
The Notepad++Portable.ini file exists, and is visible in Windows Explorer.
I installed the app on a network share, mapped to a drive.
Other similar errors I found on the forum:
- https://portableapps.com/node/54231 suggests rebooting and running chkdsk /f. I do not have that option)
- https://portableapps.com/node/65439 says it may be random error
I just fired it up from a network drive with a drive letter here without issue under Windows 10. Please provide additional details including "system details (OS version, 32 vs 64-bit), install path, new vs upgrade, etc." And detail the type of network share. Also, try copying it to your Desktop directory and then running from there temporarily to rule out system issues and narrow it down to your share.

App opens fine from same Windows share mapped to drive on Win10 Pro x64 desktop.
Issue is with a remote desktop session on Server 2012 R2 x64. App opens when run from files copied to desktop, but fails with error above when opening from network share mapped to drive.
I'm not sure what would cause this and don't have access to a similar setup to test. Do you have direct access to the machine to test if it works when not remoting in? Is anything set that would restrict file access over network shares?

No direct access.
No restrictions that I know of.
Looks like I'll have to get in touch with our IT guys. Thanks for the help!
Sure thing. Sorry I couldn't get it figured out thusfar. Maybe they'll have an idea.
