Google Chrome Portable 64-bit Stable (Test) Extensions getting deactivated

Hi everybody,

maybe you can give some pointers to this problem:
I have Google Chrome Portable 64-bit Stable (Test) on a separate HDD, along with the rest of the PortableApps suite, and since about the last 3 updates, the extensions keep getting deactivated. They even don't show up in the list, it's like they were deleted or can't be accessed (they are still on the HDD, i checked).
I can reinstall them and they stay for the current session, but as soon as i close and restart the app, they are gone again.

If i move the entire GoogleChromePortable64-folder to my desktop, they are all magically back and active. I can choose other locations for the app folder and they stay there for the first start, but get again magically vanished for subsequent starts.

This is on a Win10-64bit and Comodo Internet Security. I suspect some security feature to interfere here, but i have no idea what in particular that could be.
Anyone has a clue or suggestion how to further investigate?

Notes

Read the app notes: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/google_chrome_portable#app-notes

You must be logged in to Google to use Google Chrome Portable. Even then stuff will break.

If you'd like a truly portable browser, consider using Firefox Portable.

i am logged in with my google

i am logged in with my google account, this is not what seems to break the program.
i am also using FFX (portable), and i really like it more than chrome. i use the later especially and exclusively for google related things, like youtube and google docs; but i am getting off-topic.
also please do not misunderstand this for a "you-there,-fix-my-problem-for-me"post. i am simply out of ideas on how to tackle this issue, and look for pointers.

i am not sure the link https://portableapps.com/node/42637 from the app notes is applicable here, as the version of the app folder that resides on my desktop has no issues with extensions deactivating. and the other locations are still on the same computer and thus should not trigger id mismatch AFAIU. the post is from 2014, however my issue arose only recently, for the past 2 weeks roughly. it worked before (yes, i know..., just stating it for completeness sake).
the session IS being kept, as the opened tabs and windows are restored properly without issues, along with the logins. it even syncs the bookmarks with the google profile. this works entirely with native support, no need for the "session buddy" extension.
as i said, i can move the folder anywhere but the desktop, and after every second start up, the extensions are invisible. not just deactivated, what i mean is the tab in the chrome stetting is devoid of entries, as in empty glass or barren wasteland.

No Idea

I have no idea further than what was posted before. Our portablization hasn't changed since Feb 2022 so any changes are either in Chrome itself or on your PC or its associated software. Chrome continues to get progressively more locked down which inhibits portability over time. Passwords, for instance, are no longer portable between PCs, which Chrome changed this year.
